Goetta life.
once she discovered goetta fest was an actual real event she was determined to be there. she told corey and i all she wanted to do for her birthday this year was for us to go to goetta fest. at first she said all four days. we compromised and went friday night, we had a blast. if you aren't sure what goetta is or it's history check it out. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goetta that's all i'll say about that. this girls german roots must run deep. this was a small version of disney world to her right here in her home town. she settled for the big boy goetta which did not disappoint. tony had pizza (imagine that) i enjoyed a gotta egg and cheese on rye and corey grabbed some mini goetta sliders. off course we had to check out the swag and merch. when the sales guy found out it was her birthday, he let her pick whatever t-shirt she wanted. his gift to her, hugged her and said happy birthday. she bought a cook book too. the highlight of the night was corey and callie jo looking at the cookbook in line for the jumping trampoline thingy. a gentleman in a glier's shirt offered the kids stickers, his shirt said "the goetta guy" corey ask so you're "the goetta guy". the gentleman said I'm the son of the original goetta guy i'm dan glier. of course we had to grab a photo. mr. glier signed callie jo's cookbook gave her an extra sticker for the book and gave her a little squeeze. mr. glier then told corey how excited he was to see young kids loving goetta and having fun at the fest.
my favorite part is watching corey and i grow, learn and teach our kiddos doing the stuff is way better than getting stuff
calla's goetta for cj's 10th birthday.
